Championing knowledge. Mansfield Richland County Public Library.
MRCPL is a hub connecting the community to information, resources, and each other. The library has nine locations, year-round events, and various services. They’re way more than just books. But they needed a way to communicate their mission via their online presence.

My role & process.
I had two roles on this project: Content Strategist and Project Lead. As both strategist and PL, I was responsible for the success of the project. I needed to ensure we were meeting client goals/needs as well as user goals/needs throughout. As PL, it’s my job to really own the project from start to finish. I did this by communicating frequently with the client and my internal team, sharing progress, addressing concerns, and managing scope and budget.
My content strategy goals were clear from the beginning—I needed to help simplify and consolidate the information architecture; I had to ensure messaging and CTAs were consistent; and I needed to work on improving the user experience. Through data insights and best practices, I created a more accessible and informative game plan for the content and architecture.
Working cross-functionally, my project team stayed efficient, productive, and motivated throughout. MRCPL saw one of the smoothest launches we’ve done to date. And client and user feedback continues to be positive. This project is easily one of my favorites! The best part? We produced a website that’s making a lovely impact on the community and that puts the user first.
